Teen Flees In Stolen Car, Crashes, Gets Arrested: Montgomery PD

An Oswego teen was arrested after he was treated for crash-related injuries. Two passengers in the vehicle were also injured.

MONTGOMERY, IL —An Oswego 18-year-old faces multiple charges, including several felonies, in connection with a police pursuit Monday in Montgomery, police said. According to Montgomery police, officers attempted to stop a vehicle reported stolen out of Aurora at around 4:18 p.m. Monday near Route 30 and Griffin Drive.

Instead of stopping, police say teen driver Terrence D. Fisher, of the 300 block of Wolverine Drive in Oswego, fled, prompting a pursuit by police. During the pursuit, Fisher lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and rolled over, according to police.

Fisher then fled on foot but was taken into custody after a foot chase, police said. He was transported to Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora, where he was admitted with charges pending.

Two passengers in the vehicle were also taken to Rush-Copley and treated for minor injuries.

Police said Fisher will be charged with four counts of felony aggravated fleeing and eluding as well as leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Misdemeanors pending against Fisher include driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving 35 mph over the speed limit.
