Safe Haven Dog Rescue would REALLY LOVE to help Scooby!

Scooby is a very sweet, lovable, young, Lab mix. He suffered a horrible fall at 2 months of age and his spine was injured, causing paralysis to his hind area. He is able to scoot around, but has developed sores from dragging himself. His owner agreed to let two Good Samaritans take him to the vet to get his sores cleaned up.
After examining him, the vet determined that in addition to the spinal cord injury, he has a distended bladder, a possible eye condition and his hips may need FHO surgery. One is completely dislocated! That is the bad news...

The good news is that he does have movement in one of his back legs, so we're optimistic that with the right Rehab, he may even walk again as a tripod, or the very least, be pain free. This poor boy is only 10 months old!
His previous family truly loves him, but unfortunately, they do not have the means to help him. They selflessly have surrendered him to allow him to get the care he so desperately needs...and deserves! Safe Haven Dog Rescue is looking for a loving foster home to help us help this boy...the SOONER the BETTER!

EVEN BETTER NEWS...Canine Physical Rehab/See Spot Swim in Montgomery has agreed to work with him and provide rehab! BUT...we need a foster that is willing to bring him for therapy 3 times a week for 4 to 6 weeks and then 2 times per week. They have also generously provided a wheelchair that is his to keep if he continues to need it.

While you foster, we pay for all vetting at our participating vet offices, and provide crate, food, and all supplies.
