18-Year-Old Charged With Driving 85 MPH: Naperville Police

He was driving in a 45 m.p.h zone

On Tuesday evening, Alexander Summers was arrested for allegedly driving at 85 m.p.h. in a 45 m.p.h. zone on 95th Street, according to Naperville Police.

The 18-year-old from Aurora sped westbound on 95th Street from Route 59, according to department spokesman Lou Cammiso. An officer saw Summers speeding and conducted a traffic stop when he stopped for a red light at the intersection of South 248th Street and Lapp Lane.

Summers was released on bond.

According to DuPage County Court records, Summers was charged in March with not carrying his driver's license and speeding 15-20 miles per hour over the limit. In 2016, Summers was charged with driving without a license, driving with expired plates, failing to yield and failing to give information or aid after an accident.
