NAPERVILLE, IL — The 95th Street Farmers Market has reopened for its third season with safety guidelines in place to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. The market, located in the 95th Street Library parking lot, will be open on Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The following guidelines are in place for those who work at, sell at or attend the farmers market:

  • Customers, staff and vendors are advised not to attend the farmers market if they have coronavirus symptoms
  • If a customer, staff member or vendor has symptoms, they should wait to come to the farmers market until they have had no fever for 72 hours and at least 10 days have passed since their last symptoms
  • Customers, staff members and vendors are required to wear a face mask at all times when in the farmers market if a distance of six feet from others cannot be maintained
  • Handwashing and hand sanitizing are recommended before and after visiting the market

In addition to these measures, vendors will be placed to allow for more social distancing at the market. Food sampling will not be permitted and food that is bought on-site must be consumed off-site, according to a farmers market safety guideline post on the Naperville Park District's website. Items bought at the farmers market should be washed before you eat them, the post added.
