BMW Driver Who Split Car In Naperville Crash Charged: Cops
Robert Skura, 47, of Lisle, was charged in connection with the crash.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A Lisle man faces multiple charges and citations after a crash in which the BMW he was driving hit a traffic signal, split in two, and caught on fire. Robert M. Skura, 47, is accused of driving 35 miles per hour over the speed limit before the Oct. 4 crash.
Police say Skura was driving east on Ogden Avenue when he lost control of his 2014 BMW and hit a traffic pole near the intersection of Ogden and Columbia Street. Skura was taken to a nearby hospital after the crash and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

- Speeding 35 mph over the posted speed limit
