Chinese Tool Company Moving to Naperville

Chervon, a Chinese power tool manufacturer, will bring more than 200 jobs to Naperville for their new North American headquarters, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

The headquarters will be located at 1203 E. Warrenville Road. The building is owned by a Swedish manufacturer that was planning a research and development facility, but later changed course.

The company will relocate employees from Grand Rapids, Michigan and other Chicago suburbs to the new location. They plan on hiring 25 new employees this year and 75 more over the next three years.

Chervon considered sites in California, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee, but settled on Naperville. They are not receiving any local or state incentives.

“In the end our decision came down to three key factors: proximity to talent, proximity to current and acquired employees (and) Naperville's pro-business attitude,” spokesman Joe Turoff told Crain's Chicago Business in an email.

The new headquarters will feature research and development, industrial design, sales and marketing jobs.
