Christmas 2017: What's Open & What's Closed In Naperville

From government buildings to schools to movie theaters, see what's open this Christmas

NAPERVILLE, IL — Almost everyone will have Christmas Day off, but there are a few places staying open. In case you need a last-minute grocery run or other services, we have hours listed here. Here's a list of what's open and what's closed in Naperville for Christmas 2017:

  • Post office: Closed
  • Federal offices: Closed
  • Naperville Government: Non-emergency city offices are closed Christmas Day and Tuesday Dec. 26. Garbage collection will be delayed a day for the next two weeks.
  • DuPage County offices, including the circuit clerk's office, courts, health department and more will be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day
  • Naperville 203 & IPSD 204 schools: Closed (Winter break lasts through Jan. 5, 2018)
  • Naperville library: Closed Christmas Day & Christmas Eve. Closes at 5 p.m. New Year's Eve and Closed New Year's Day
  • Banks: Closed
  • Gas stations: Open
  • Retail stores: Some will be closed, some — including a few area grocery stores — will be open, but check the hours before you go.
  • Movie theaters: Hollywood Palms, AMC Showplace 16, Ogden 6 Theaters and Regal Cantera 17 will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
