On Friday, June 25, 2021 at approximately 1:49 p.m., Naperville Police Department Officers responded to the 2700 block of Sheridan Court to a report of a shooting. Responding officers located a male subject with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital and his condition is unknown at this time. Witnesses on the scene were able to provide the name and vehicle description of the offender who had fled the scene.

A short time later, a Naperville Police Officer spotted the suspect vehicle and after additional units arrived to assist, including the Plainfield Police Department, a traffic stop was initiated near the area of 119th Street and Route 59 in Plainfield. After a short pursuit, the suspect stopped his vehicle and was taken into custody near 135th Street and Route 59 in Plainfield.
