COVID-19 Tests Required If Unvaccinated At North Central College
The Naperville college will require coronavirus testing throughout the fall semester for students and staff who are not vaccinated.

NAPERVILLE, IL — North Central College will require students and staff members who are not vaccinated to show proof of a negative coronavirus test before returning to campus for the fall 2021 semester, according to a June 21 update from President Troy Hammond.
The college is not requiring a coronavirus vaccine for students and staff, but will require coronavirus testing throughout the semester for those who have not gotten the vaccine. Further, unvaccinated students must quarantine if they have close contact with someone who tested positive for or shows symptoms of coronavirus.
Those who are vaccinated will need to provide North Central College with valid proof of their vaccination. Vaccinated students will not need to take part in coronavirus testing at the college, nor will they be required to quarantine for close contact.

Hammond's update said the college will still be a "mask-friendly environment," but will not require vaccinated individuals to wear masks indoors. Unvaccinated individuals are not required, but urged, to continue to wear masks inside campus buildings.
North Central College's 2021-22 school year kicks off Aug. 25, when the school resumes its standard schedule of fully in-person instruction. Athletics programs will also return to practice and competition schedules that were in effect before coronavirus.
