Driver Hurt In Crash On Diehl Road In Naperville Friday

The crash took place Friday around 3 p.m.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police are investigating a crash that took place near Diehl Road and Mill Street Friday afternoon that left an 18-year-old Naperville man hospitalized after he was ejected from his car.

Police say the 18-year-old sustained injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

According to police, the 18-year-old man was driving a silver 2008 Buick eastbound on Diehl Road when a black 2008 Audi driven by a 29-year-old Chicago man failed to yield when turning from westbound Diehl Road. Police say debris from the crash damaged another car and a nearby building.

The area near Mill Street and Diehl Road was closed for three hours and reopened just after 6:30 p.m.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Naperville Police Department's traffic unit at 630-305-5477.
