Easter Bunny Hops On Harley To Visit Kids In Naperville

The coronavirus shutdown didn't stop this Easter Bunny from delivering some socially distant visits in a remarkable way.

NAPERVILLE, IL — This Easter is different for a lot of kids across Illinois due to Gov. J.B. Pritzker's stay-at-home order, which canceled Easter Bunny pictures and other events throughout the state. It was certainly different for kids in Naperville Saturday, when the Easter Bunny zoomed through local neighborhoods on a scooter and a Harley to say hello while safely social distancing.

Karen Toner, who owns Balboa's Cheesesteaks with her husband, Steve Vukasovic, is lucky enough to know the Easter Bunny personally. Toner told Patch she "[j]ust want[s] to make sure the little bunnies get to see the Easter Bunny this year since they didn't really get to."

Toner posted a video featuring the Easter Bunny on a scooter on the "What's Happening in Naperville?" Facebook group and the requests to see the Easter Bunny in person started rolling in.

"That's what I'm doing all day long," Toner said.

On Saturday, the Easter Bunny cruised downtown Naperville and posted up across the street from Sullivan's, where several kids got a chance to wave hello. Toner said the Easter Bunny will be making the rounds in Naperville and Lisle Saturday and will even "hop" on its Harley for some more visits Easter Sunday.
