Fire That Injured 1 May Have Started Near Christmas Tree

The Naperville fire is still under investigation

NAPERVILLE, IL — Fire investigators have determined that Thursday's blaze on the 3500 block of Redwing Court did result in one civilian injury, and the blaze was sparked on or near a Christmas tree. Officials are awaiting details as the case remains open. In a press release Friday, Deputy Chief Andrew Dina said the place of origin appears to be a live Christmas tree that was located in the first floor family room. The cause was accidental, he added.
