The historic Daniels House at Naper Settlement is all a-glitter from floor to ceiling with holiday floral arrangements created by the Weed Ladies for their Winter Show and Sale that will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 14-16 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday Nov. 17 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St., Naperville.
Just like Santa’s elves, the Weed Ladies have been hard at work in their Daniels House workshop creating winter and holiday-themed floral arrangements, wreaths, or swags in a variety of sizes and styles from the glitzy to nature-themed, some with touches of dried flowers or grasses for holiday gift giving or decorating. At the winter sale, all fall arrangements will be 20 percent off, just in time for Thanksgiving entertaining.
“We have such a talented group of volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to create new and unique floral arrangements,” said Cathi Schumacher, one of the volunteer floral designers in a release.

The Weed Ladies also will be open during the Holiday Mansion Tours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 and 14, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 and 15. After taking the mansion tour, be sure to ask for your 20 percent off coupon for any last minute gifts and decorations.
They will close after this event, but will be back designing again to get ready for their spring sale in March. The Weed Ladies also create custom arrangements using their unique vases or other containers or they will use customers’ containers. Some arrangements were recently designed with sisal squirrels added for a special sorority request. Another was arranged in a lovely umbrella stand.
