Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued By National Weather Service
This weekend will see high winds and some lake shore flooding. Throughout next week, there is an elevated risk of thunderstorms.

NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS -- The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather alert in the north central Illinois region today. Weather is not expected to be particularly extreme, but certain conditions will make residents want to use caution.
On Friday, there is a limited non-thunderstorm wind risk and a possibility of some lake shore flooding. Wind gusts are expected to be from 35 mph to 40 mph. The NWS warns that there will be minor flooding along portions of the Fox, Illinois, Iroquois, Kankakee and Des Planes rivers.
On Saturday and Sunday night, there will be an elevated frost risk.

Tuesday through Thursday will see a limited thunderstorm risk as well as minor flooding on the rivers listed above.
