Hundreds Wait in Naperville to See Cubs Trophy

Brandon Getzloff, 33, of Carol Stream, said he began waiting outside the Naperville municipal building at around 6:30 p.m on Friday. The lifelong Cubs fan was the first person in line.

"I wanted to be first in line," Getzloff said. "108 years-I mean it's a once in a lifetime opportunity."

A few others had camped out overnight, braving frigid temperatures. The temperature was 1 degree at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, and there were already about 130 people in line.

The majority of fans, many wearing Cubs apparel, arrived just before the doors of city hall opened at 7 a.m.

The trophy was scheduled to arrive at 11 a.m., and depart at 1 p.m.
