Illinois's 1st Amazon Fresh Opens In Naperville: Report
The new store features "Dash" carts that can ring up items as you pick them up.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville welcomed the state's first Amazon Fresh grocery store Thursday, with special Dash carts that help shoppers avoid long checkout lines, according to Chicago Tribune.
The 35,000 square foot space, located at 3116 Illinois Rte. 59, also features Alexa-equipped terminals that can assist shoppers with questions.
Customers can scan their credit cards with the Dash cart, which is set up with cameras and sensors to scan items that are placed in the cart. The cart is also set up to notice when you remove an item.

At the end of shopping, those who use a Dash cart can speed through the special Dash lane, which verifies and approves the transaction.
The Amazon Fresh store's Dash cart can be tricky, according to Chicago Tribune, so it's best used for smaller purchases. Even so, there are employees onsite to assist with using the Dash cart.
