Little Pops Wins 2020 Naperville Pizza Wars
Nine pizzerias competed to be named the top pie joint in the city.
NAPERVILLE, IL — It was a war with battles fought bravely by local restaurants armed with fresh cheeses, sauce and garnish, but someone had to come out on top. The 2020 Naperville Pizza Wars wrapped up Wednesday night with Little Pops NY Pizzeria Trattoria taking the top prize.
The event, the first of its kind to be held in Naperville, brought nine different pizzerias to Naperville Central High School to vie for the berth as the best pizzeria in the city. Other competing pizzerias included Braconi's, Aurelio's, Giordano's, Uncle Pete's, Rocco's, Lou Malnati's Cassano's, and Little Italian Pizza.
Proceeds from the event benefited the Naperville Noon Lion's Club. According to 95.9 The River, roughly 1,200 people packed in for Naperville Pizza Wars!
