NAPERVILLE, IL — Heavy rainfall on Memorial Day caused flood warnings throughout the western suburbs, leading to dangerous driving conditions as well as closed and flooded major streets. The flash flooding led some residents in a Naperville subdivision to resort to using kayaks to get around.
The storm brought two-inch diameter hail to Oswego and one-inch diameter hail to Plainfield, Naperville, and Romeoville, according to WGN.
