MLK Day 2018: What's Open, What's Closed In Naperville

MLK Day has many volunteer and service opportunities throughout the community.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Martin Luther King Jr. Day falls on Jan. 15 this year. Federal offices will be closed to observe Dr. King's birthday. The holiday was intended to be a day of service and reflection. The City of Naperville has a list of volunteer opportunities for seniors, and neighboring Aurora is hosting a day of volunteering for Monday.

The Cuffs and Horses community blood drive will be held Jan. 15 at 400 South Eagle Street in the lower level from 8 a.m. - 12:50. A photo ID is required, and donors get a free bowl from Noodles & Company. Make an appointment to donate.
