Naperville Bakery Wins Chicago Donut Fest
The winning entry was DeEtta's chocolate sour cream old fashioned donut
DeEtta's Bakery beat out ten other pastry-producing shops to win Chicago's Donut Fest on Sunday, according to the Naperville Sun.
There were 975 people who attended Donut Fest and sampled the sweet entries from 11 area shops. The event was held at the Chop Shop restaurant and venue in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.
"We were excited just to be there with top-notch doughnut shops," Kevin Tyschper, co-owner of DeEtta's Bakery, told the Naperville Sun. "We didn't really go there to win, we wanted to see what other doughnut shops were doing and let people try our doughnuts."

The judging panel that conducted a blind taste included Chef Pete Coenen of Chicago's Cherry Circle Room, Chef Scott Green from Chicago's Langham Hotel and Chicago Police Officer Kevin Graves.
This weekend, DeEtta's will have a special promotion to encourage people to try their winning chocolate sour cream old fashioned donut.
