Naperville Firefighters To Build Beds For Kids In Need
Firefighters are looking for volunteers to help them build and deliver beds to 40 children in summer and fall.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Members of the Naperville Fire Department are looking for volunteers to lend a hand to help them build beds for children in need in the city. The firefighters will host a "bed-building event" on Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and welcome donations of time and money to help with the effort.
The goal is to have 40 beds built and sent to kids during the summer and fall of 2019.
The initiative is part of Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a nationwide organization that follows the motto "No Child Sleeps on the Floor in our Town." Sleep In Heavenly Peace has chapters in several states throughout the United States that help provide beds for children who are in need of a comfortable and safe place to sleep.
