NAPERVILLE, IL — A Chicago man is in custody after police say he broke into a Naperville liquor store Wednesday and stole cigarettes and alcohol. Mark Wilson, 41, of Chicago, has been charged with burglary and criminal damage to property in connection with the incident, which took place at Solo Liquors, 1474 E. Chicago Ave.

Naperville police were called to the scene Monday morning just after 7 a.m. for a burglary report. When officers arrived, they noticed the glass on the business's front door had been shattered.

During the investigation, officers obtained surveillance video from the liquor store. The footage was shared with officers throughout the city, which prompted an officer to recognize Wilson from a previous incident, according to a news release.
