Naperville Paddleboat Quarry To Reopen Daily Starting May 31
Park District officials say Naperville's paddleboat quarry saw a record number of rentals in 2020.

NAPERVILLE, IL — It's a sure sign of summer when Naperville's Paddleboat Quarry reopens. The quarry has been open on weekends since the start of May and will reopen for daily paddleboat, kayak and paddleboard rentals starting Memorial Day.
The Paddleboat Quarry saw a record number of rentals during the start of the pandemic in 2020, Naperville Park District officials said in an update on their website.
"This year, we anticipate that many people will continue to visit the quarry for fun on the water that is affordable and close to home," park district Aquatic Manager Jackie Gonzalez said in the update.

Four people at a time can ride in a paddleboat at the quarry. Paddleboat rentals are $12 for 20 minutes and $17 for 40 minutes. Paddleboard rentals are $10 for 20 minutes and $20 for 40 minutes.
One-person kayak rentals are $10 for 20 minutes and $15 for 40 minutes. Two-person kayak rentals are $15 for 20 minutes and $22 for 40 minutes.

To prevent the spread of coronavirus, participants must wear face masks on the dock and when they cannot maintain six feet of social distance from other participants.
