Naperville Park District Cancels Afternoon, Evening Activities

NAPERVILLE, IL -- Winter weather and icy, hazardous roads have led the Naperville Park District to cancel its afternoon and evening activities for Tuesday. All classes, fitness lessons, drop-in programs, and after school child care were canceled, district officials said in an email Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials, the cancellation was in effect for all programs after 3 p.m. Class participants will be given information about opportunities to make up the missed classes, the email said.

The park district joined several organizations and schools in surrounding communities that canceled events and activities due to to the inclement weather and the risk of black ice on roads.
