Six months ago, Naperville Park District planned the 2021 locations of the Concerts in Your Park series that brings family-friendly music to neighborhoods across the community on six Sunday evenings in the summer. Coincidentally, the June 27 concert was scheduled for Meadow Glens Park, situated in neighborhood that was devastated by the recent tornado. Thanks to the work of Naperville Park District staff, City of Naperville crews and community volunteers, access to the park via Wehrli Road and Muirhead Drive is now available and Naperville Park District is happy to announce that the concert will proceed as planned.

The June 27 concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and features Johnny Russler & The Beach Bum Band. Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico, one of the Naperville Park District commissioners and Executive Director Ray McGury plan to speak briefly to express words of support as the neighborhood is beginning the long recovery from last Sunday’s violent storm.

“I hope that this concert can provide something fun and positive for neighbors and their friends and family during this difficult time,” said Executive Director Ray McGury.
