Naperville Ranks As Safest City To Raise Children: Study
Naperville topped the list in Safewise's roundup of the safest cities to raise a child.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville ranks as the safest city in the U.S. to raise a child, according to a new study published by Safewise. The study ranked cities based on violent and property crime rates and sex offenders per capita to narrow down the safest cities in the country for raising children.
Naperville ranked number one, ahead of Johns Creek, Georgia, Newton, Massachusetts, Carmel, Indiana, and Cary, North Carolina, and Arlington Heights, Illinois.
According to Safewise's study, Naperville had a property crime rate of 0 per 1,000 residents. Safewise deemed this statistic "quite exceptional."

The average population of all cities analyzed by Safewise was 238,308. The average population of the safest cities was 116,798. Naperville's population is 148,304, according to U.S. Census Data.
