Naperville Schools Make List Of Best High Schools In Illinois
The list, assembled by U.S. News and World Report, reviewed over 24,000 public high schools throughout the country.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Three Naperville high schools made U.S. News and World Reports' list of Best High Schools for 2020. Neuqua Valley High School landed in the top 20 in Illinois, while Naperville North and Naperville Central made it into the top 40 schools in the state.
Out of 677 schools in Illinois, Neuqua Valley placed at number 16. Nationally, Nequa Valley placed at number 376.
Naperville Central came in at number 30 in Illinois and placed at number 661 nationwide. Naperville North ranked at number 36 in Illinois and landed at number 768 among schools in the nation.

"The Best High Schools rankings provide the most comprehensive, data-based information on nearly every public high school in the country," Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News, said in a news release. "Families can use this information to see how their local schools compare on graduation rates and state assessments, as well as academic performance by students who are traditionally underserved — those who are black, Hispanic or from low-income households."
The U.S. News and World Report study ranked schools based on college readiness, math and reading proficiency and performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.
