St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated early this year in Naperville. A 5K and a parade will be held on Saturday, March 11.
The St. Paddy’s Day 5K will start at 8 a.m. Racers, runners and walkers will start at Centennial Park, go up and down Mill Street and complete a segment on Jefferson and Main Streets before returning to the start point. Proceeds from the race go to Rotary charities.
At 10 a.m. the parade sponsored by West Suburban Irish will depart from Naperville North High School. One hundred groups from community organizations and local businesses will walk down Mill Street. They will finish at Main and Water Streets.
