Nearly Waist-High Waters Flood Naperville Streets
Officials urge extra caution after heavy rains flooded several roads.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Heavy rains and melting snow have flooded roadways throughout Naperville, with water reaching almost waist high in some areas as of early Tuesday. Officials announced Tuesday morning that Julian St. and Columbia St. at Prairie have been closed as crews are working to pump water from the roadway. Mill Street and 5th Avenue are also closed for heavy flooding.
According to Naperville Officials, northbound lanes on West Street at Williamsburg and Naperville Boulevard also have standing water.
In Bolingbrook, the DuPage River has risen to 19.2 feet, just inches below flood warning levels.

Residents are urged to used caution when navigating flooded roadways. To check the status of a road or to report a flooded street, call 630-420-6187.
