Noon Whistle Brewing Opens Taproom In Naperville

The grand opening of the brewery's newest location will feature food trucks and live music.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Noon Whistle Brewing Company is set to open its second area taproom in Naperville on Sept. 18. The grand opening will feature three days of food trucks and live music to celebrate the brewery's newest facility.

Like the flagship Lombard location, the new taproom will have the brewhouse in front, so customers will be "just footsteps" from where their beer is brewed, co-owner Mike Condon told Patch. The brewery has been crafting batches of beer in the new 29,000 square foot production facility since July.

Condon said the Naperville facility will allow Noon Whistle to expand its product line further throughout the state and even beyond Illinois.

The new taproom shortly after Noon Whistle expanded its Lombard location and added an onsite kitchen. Though the Naperville taproom won't have a kitchen, Condon said he aims to have food trucks onsite as often as possible on weekends and for special events to give guests something to munch on while they sample brews indoors or in the outdoor patio area.

The Naperville taproom will pick up a large part of the brewery's production and will feature an onsite laboratory that "focuses on quality testing," according to a news release. In Lombard, the focus will shift to experimenting with new sours and wild fermentation, Condon told Patch.

For Condon, who formerly lived in Naperville, opening the second location in the city was an easy choice. He told Patch Naperville is "a community and folks that get behind local businesses and things they can call their own.”

Condon added, “We’re excited to be accepted and get open now.”
