Playground Celebration June 25 at Heatherstone Park in Naperville

The Naperville Park District invites the community to celebrate the re-opening of the playground at Heatherstone Park, located at 3536 Fairmont Ave., at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25. The playground at Heatherstone Park is the first of several playground renovation projects to be completed in 2019.

Neighbors are encouraged to bring their families to participate in a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, enjoy refreshments and giveaways, and explore the new play equipment.

The playground design was based on input from neighbors and includes state-of-the-art play equipment that is accessible to children of all abilities. The playground has separate play structures for 2-5 year-olds and 5-12 year-olds, swings, a spring toy and a spinner that accommodates kids of all abilities. A special feature of this playground is a 65-ft. long zip line with the option of either sitting or standing.
