Riverview Farmstead Tour Aug. 18 in Naperville

NAPERVILLE – A “Riverview Farmstead Tour” is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Riverview Farmstead Preserve, located on Book Road, south of Hassert Boulevard. Discover three generations of the Clow family – prominent settlers in Wheatland Township – by touring the preserve and its Settlement House, Limestone House and the Timber Frame Barn. An interpreter will describe how the farmstead grew from an early settlement to a 200-acre commercial farm. Registration is required by Aug. 15 for the free, all-ages program; call 815-886-1467.
