Scholarships Available From Illinois Municipal Utilities Assoc.
The $1,000 scholarships are available to high school seniors whose parents or guardians are Naperville Electric Utility customers.
NAPERVILLE, IL — The Illinois Municipal Utilities Association, along with the City of Naperville is hosting a $1,000 scholarship competition for high school seniors whose parents or guardians are Naperville Electric Utility customers.
To apply for the scholarship, students must write a 500-word essay based on one of four questions that are related to utilities. The submission deadline is March 12. Click the link to access the scholarship application.
“Since its inception in 2000, IMUA’s scholarship program has proven to be a very popular and successful program for IMUA, its members and the communities they serve,” Kevin M. Gaden, President & CEO of the IMUA, said in a news release. “The scholarship program is another example of how municipally owned and operated utility systems can help return value to their communities, while at the same time, provide a measure of financial assistance to students who wish to pursue a college education.”
