Stabbing In Downtown Naperville: Boy Injured, Juvenile Arrested

Police say a juvenile was arrested after a fight near the Water Street parking deck. A boy was found stabbed in a nearby parking lot.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Authorities are investigating a stabbing after a fight was reported in downtown Naperville on Friday night.

Naperville police responded to a 911 call about a fight in the alley behind the Water Street parking deck near Webster Street, the department said in a news release. Authorities arrived there just before 9 p.m., police said.

Authorities found a juvenile male stabbing victim in the parking lot of 400 S. Main Street. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had been fighting with another juvenile he knew.

The other juvenile was arrested. But police said the incident remains under investigation and charges are still pending.
