NAPERVILLE, IL — Monday's heavy storm battered Naperville with golf ball-sized hail and rains that downed branches and left debris scattered throughout yards. As a result, the city is offering a free bagged leaf pickup to residents who live south of 95th Street on Saturday, June 1.

City officials advise that flash flooding is still a danger, as rain is expected to fall through early Wednesday. Residents are advised not to rake leaves into the streets, as this could exacerbate clogged drains and flooding after heavy rains.

Residents should also check storm drains for clogging, officials said.
