Stove Fire Displaces Naperville Family From Apartment
The fire broke out Wednesday afternoon in the 1600 block of Country Lakes Drive.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville fire crews say a cooking fire started a blaze at a home in the 1600 block of Country Lakes Drive Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters were called to the scene at the 3-story, multi-unit residence at approximately 12: 15 p.m.
Upon arriving, firefighters discovered smoke coming from an apartment on the first floors. They encountered the fire on the kitchen stove and extending to the cabinets and microwave above the stove.
The fire was put out within five minutes, officials say, but rendered the apartment uninhabitable. Members of the American Red Cross were on hand to help the residents find accommodations.
