TEDx Talk At North Central College In Naperville

"When we encounter an unexpected idea that resonates deep within us, it has the power to revive our latent dreams – the ones that make us truly alive. We wake up. We see a vision. We hear a calling. We come to our senses," according to the event's website.

Six North Central alumni will give 12-minute talks and six current students will give 3-minute talks. The subjects of the talks range from “The Fallout of Financial Illiteracy” to “Unearthing the Truth About Organics.”

TED, which stands for technology, entertainment and design, is a non-profit that spreads ideas, usually through short talks. TEDx events are independently run events licensed by TED.

The four-hour event will start at 4:30 p.m in NCC's Meiley-Swallow Hall. Tickets are $20 for the public and $10 for NCC students. More information can be found here.
