NORTHEAST ILLINOIS -- Rain, clouds and gusty winds will dominate the weather this weekend. Weekend gusts are expected to reach up to 30 miles per hour with almost definite rain on both Saturday and Sunday. Possibility of a thunderstorm on Sunday.

Today: A 50 percent chance of rain, mainly before 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 52. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 61. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 44. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight.

Saturday: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 51. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 44. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Sunday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 63. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Sunday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 46.
