Woman Battered, Purse Stolen in Naperville Strong Arm Robbery

When the woman realized her purse was being stolen, she attempted to get it back, but was battered and the people fled with her purse.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two women allegedly stole a woman’s person and then beat her when she tried to get it back.

At around 9 a.m. Dec. 3, officers with the Naperville Police Department were called to 1620 Pebblewood Lane No. 132 for an unknown problem. Upon arrival, officers learned that two women entered the business and removed the woman’s purse. When the woman realized her purse was being stolen, she attempted to get it back, but was battered and the people fled with her purse.

The thieves entered their vehicle, a late model silver Nissan SUV, and were last seen at the intersection of Diehl Rd and Route 59. The woman was uninjured and did not require any medical attention.

The two thieves were black females in their 20s and around 5’6’’ and 5’4’’. One was wearing black-framed glasses and a gray winter coat and jeans. Another was wearing a large blue winter coat and dark-colored jeans.
