"People have got to understand that driving is a privilege, not a right," DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said. "With ride-sharing services at your fingertips, there is no reason whatsoever that anyone should get behind the wheel of a car if they have been drinking."
Richardson is currently on parole for an aggravated DUI from 2015. If convicted, she could serve up to 30 years in prison.
