New Lenox Police Investigating after Woman Attacked on Walking Path
The woman told police her head was held down as her attacker tried to take off her pants. She was walking her dog at the time of the attack.

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox Police are investigating after a woman was attacked on a walking path.
The incident occurred on Saturday, Nov. 26 around 6:26 p.m., between the Hickory Creek Plaza—(approximately the 1800 block of E. Rt. 30) and Schoolhouse Manor Park.
The woman told police she was walking her dog on the path when she was "pushed from behind into a wooden area off the path" by an unknown man. The attacker pushed her head into the ground and tried to remove her pants. She was able to fight off the attacker, who fled in the direction of Schoolhouse Manor Park, police said Sunday.

The victim believes her dog may have bitten the subject.
The woman described the suspect only as a male of unknown race, wearing a black hoodie.
