Pair Charged After Bringing Replica Gun Into Gaming Café: New Lenox PD

A Manhattan woman and Homer Glen man were charged with disorderly conduct after police say the man brought a fake gun into a gaming café.

NEW LENOX, IL — A Manhattan woman and Homer Glen man were charged with disorderly conduct, after police said one flashed what turned out to be a replica handgun at patrons inside a New Lenox gaming café last week.

Police were called Nov. 26 to Zin Video Gaming Café, 2461 E Joliet Highway, for a report of a man with a gun. The caller told police they saw a male, later identified as Francisco Villasenor, 40, of Homer Glen, remove a firearm from his vehicle and insert a magazine. The witness told police they saw him enter the business with the gun.

Police found Villasenor as he was exiting Zin and detained him. They learned Villasenor was with a female companion inside Zin, later identified as Kayleigh Hawrysio, 36, of Manhattan. She was also found and detained. Officers found what appeared to be a handgun in the pocket of Hawrysio’s sweater, police said.

During the investigation, police say officers learned Villasenor displayed the firearm in his waistband to another patron in Zin and later placed it into Hawrysio’s sweater pocket while sitting at the bar. Villasenor and Hawrysio were taken into custody and transported to the NLPD.

Upon further inspection of the firearm, police determined it to be a replica firearm that was only capable of firing blank cartridges. Both Hawrysiak and Villasenor were charged with disorderly conduct. They were processed and released.
