17-Year-Old African Gray Parrot Is Lost In Palos Heights

Lavergne, an African gray parrot who is quite the talker, is lost in Palos Heights. Police ask for help in finding her.

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A 17-year-old African gray parrot is missing in Palos Heights. Her name is Lavergne and she has been described as quite a talker.

Palos Heights police are hoping that some luck and social media magic will help find Lavergne and reunite her with her family. Lavergne got away from her family near 127th and Harlem over the weekend.

Not only does Lavergne fly, she walks and talks. You may find her in one of your trees, lounging on your deck or strolling through your yard. She has a pretty strong beak, so if you see Lavergne, don’t try to catch her.
