- The Palos Heights City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday. View the agenda.
- Celebrate the Bard's 400th anniversary at the Palos Heights Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The presentation will feature how Shakespeare's 400 year old writings can still apply to our own survival in a world of instant gratification and ultra-fast communication. Presenter John Nygro taught Shakespeare at the Newberry Library and is a regular contributor to National Public Radio.
- A junior chef class for ages 8 to 12 is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Palos Hills Community Activity Center. The class will focus on following one or two recipes from start to finish. Each class will use a variety of equipment and tools. Sstudents will take home recipes to share with family and friends. Cost is $10.
- Moraine Valley Orchestra Spring Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dorothy Menker Theater, 9000 West College Parkway in Palos Hills. The orchestra is comprised of student and community players of string, wind and percussion instruments. The ensemble performs a variety of orchestral literature from the Baroque to current times. Admission is free.
- The annual Palos Park "Rid Litter" Day will be held Saturday. Meet at 9 a.m. in front of the Village Recreation Center at 8901 West 123rd St. Volunteers will be given gloves and bags to collect litter.
