Back The Blue In Palos Park

The Palos Park Police Foundation, which provides vital funding for equipment, training, and more, aims to raise more than $30,000 this year.

PALOS PARK, IL -- In 2010, Rev. Lane Hensley established the Palos Park Police Foundation, the first police department foundation in Illinois. The foundation's mission is "to prevent crime, save lives, and make our community a better and safer place to live and work by assisting the Palos Park Police Department with resources not readily available from the village". According to the village's website, less than 2% of PPPD's annual budget is reserved for discretionary spending on equipment.

This year, their goal is to raise more than $30,000. If you'd like to make a donation, you can visit the Palos Park Police Foundation's official website. If you're a frequent Amazon shopper, head over to Amazon Smile and select 'Palos Park Police Foundation' as your favorite charity. Then, whenever you place an order, Amazon will make a donation to the Palos Park Police Foundation.

Given the fast pace at which modern law-enforcement technology, training, and equipment needs evolve, the funding provided by the Palos Park Police Foundation is necessary in order to ensure the safety and efficiency of our great police force. In 2017, the department was able to purchase in-vehicle cameras for all patrol units thanks to the foundation's many donors. With your support, the Palos Park Police Department will have the means to continue providing above and beyond police services throughout the community for years to come.
