‘Barn To Be Wild’ Promises Wild And Woolly Time At The Center

Kick back May 22 and May 23 at Barn To Be Wild at The Center in Palos Park, featuring hayrack rides, an art and vendor fair, music and more.

PALOS PARK, IL — Bring the kids and your sweetheart to The Center in Palos Park, 12700 Southwest Highway, for a wild and woolly time at Barn To Be Wild. The family-friendly celebration runs all weekend — rain or shine — May 22 and May 23. Activities will be broadcast live.

Barn To Be Wild features a youth horse show, hayrack rides, art and vendor fair, live music, concessions and Cow Pie Bingo for a chance to win $1,000 cash. Tickets are $8 for the daytime or evening activities; $20 gets you an all-access pass for the weekend. Buy tickets online or at the gate.

The Center is selling only 320 tickets for the bovine bingo game. Tickets are $20 and can be pushed online. The cow will be set loose on a grid painted on the Children’s Farm lawn at !0:30 a.m. Sunday, May 23. Whatever square is hit by the majority of the cow pie will be declared the winner, who gets to take home $1,000. The rest of the proceeds will go to The Center’s Sustainable Agriculture & Green Education program.

Face masks are required for non-vaccinated guests; optional for vaccinated guests.

Saturday, May 22

Daytime

9 a.m. - Youth Horse Show
10 a.m. - Live 28-hour broadcast begins
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Open farm and hayrack ride

Evening

5 to 8 p.m. - Open farm, hayrack rides, food and non-alcoholic beverages
6:30 to 8:30 p.m. - Outdoor concert featuring Ed Hill and the Unusuals

Saturday, May 23

Daytime

10 a.m. - 28-hour live broadcast
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Open Farm and hayrack rides, art and vendor show
10:30 a.m. - Cow Pie Bingo begins
2 p.m. - Live broadcast continues
