Diabetes International Foundation Accepts Revlon's Fundraising Challenge

The Orland Park-based nonprofit will compete with other groups to win a $1M donation from the cosmetics company.

As part of the campaign, which begins at noon Monday, Sept. 21, and runs through Oct. 29, Revlon will donate $1.25 million to groups that fight diabetes, cancer and heart disease. The “challenge” part comes in when these organizations compete and try to raise the most money during the event. The winner will receive an additional $1 million donation from Revlon, and the runner-up gets $250,000.

Money raised by the Diabetes International Foundation will go toward screening diabetes patients nationally and setting up treatment for them. The Orland Park-based nonprofit organization raises awareness and funds for diabetes research.
