Fake Power Workers Rip Off Jewelry In Ruse Burglary: Cops
The elderly resident called police after realizing the men weren't power workers, reports said.
PALOS HILLS, IL — Ruse burglars hit Palos Hills targeting an elderly resident in the 11100 block of South 84th Avenue. reports said.
Around 2:05 p.m. Feb. 6, police said some men came to the resident’s door, explaining they were working on the power lines. Once inside the house, the resident realized it was a scam. The resident called police and the men fled, but nothing out swiping $800 worth of jewelry.
