Fun Things To Do Around Palos Thursday Evening

Go have dinner and hear a concert at Palos Park's National Hot Dog Day event, then head over to Palos Heights and see some classic cars!

PALOS, IL — Palos Park and Palos Heights have some big plans for tomorrow, July 19th.

In celebration of one of America's favorite foods, the hot dog, Palos Park will be hosting a picnic, concert, and pet parade starting at 5:00 PM.

The hot dog has been around since the 1800s and is synonymous with baseball, picnics, and summer fun. What better way to celebrate the mid-point of summer vacation than eating hot dogs while surrounded by friends, family, and pets? Full fresh-off-the-grill hot dog meals, including chips and a drink, will be available. A hot dog is $1; the meal deal is $3.

A live band will perform, and food will be available for purchase. If you happen to own a classic car, 1990 or older, bring it out and put it on display! Registration is $10, first come, first parked.

See you there!
