Girl, 2, Fatally Struck by Car near Palos Hills

PALOS HILLS, IL — A 2-year-old girl was fatally struck by a car Sunday while running across the street.

The girl was crossing 104th Avenue near Cal-Sag Road around 2 p.m. when she was hit by a white Jeep heading southbound, Cook County Sheriff's police told reporters.

The girl, of the 7300 block of West 111th Street in Worth, died of her injuries from being struck. Her death was ruled an accident, Daily Southtown reports.
